Save the Oregon Dunes

November 2, 2019 | 11:00 am - 12:00 pm PDT

Cape Perpetua Fall Speaker Series – Presentations begin at 11:00am

Brian Saunders will present on how the dunes have always been in motion. It is the wind-blown sands that have shaped this landscape. Today that motion has stopped, replaced by the steady march of invasive plants that prevent the sand from blowing-dramatically changing the face of this place. Without intervention to restore open sand, the dunes will be lost forever.

***Parking & seating limited. Please plan accordingly.

The event is free, but a Northwest Forest Pass, Oregon Coast Passport, federal recreation pass, or $5 day-use fee is required within the Cape Perpetua Scenic Area and at some trailheads and day use sites. For more in-formation on these events, contact the Cape Perpetua Visitor Center at 541-547-3289.
