***Registration required (REGISTER NOW)***
Surfrider Foundation is excited to partner with Elisabeth Jones Art Center to offer Beautiful Creatures of Oregon’s Marine Reserves: An Educational and Art Class Experience. People of all ages are invited to join us to learn about Oregon’s Marine Reserves and create small pieces of art representing various species that live in the Reserves and Oregon’s ocean through a series of 5 digital workshops. This workshop will focus on Cape Perpetua Marine Reserve. Participants will learn from a resource manager (Cristen Don, Oregon Dept. of Fish and Wildlife), a researcher (Sheanna Steingass, Oregon Dept. of Fish and Wildlife), and a local community member (Tara DuBois, Cape Perpetua Collaborative) followed by a fun and instructive art workshop. The workshops will culminate with Elisabeth Jones Art Center collecting all of the art from these events to create a stunning 25’ diameter mobile for exhibition at their Gallery in Portland!
